The creation of this drawing project almost coincided with the beginning of the quarantine due to COVID-19. Officially self-isolation in Russia was announced on March 30th, but I’ve started working at home from March 16th. It’s been a challenge not to focus on the latest news about the pandemiс and to be inspired by the new reality. I was working on the usual schedule, experimenting with different drawing styles in Procreate, cleaning up my apartment and kept in touch with my friends and relatives online.

April, 2020
It was becoming pretty hard to stay inside for such a long time. And on the first weekend of this month, I moved to my friend’s country house. It gives me the opportunity to change an environment, go outside, and take walks in the woods which is very helpful to get a little bit distracted and inspired while the virus is raging. I have never lived in the countryside for such a long time. When the quarantine is over, maybe I will miss this calm place, fresh air, and nature being a stone's throw away from the house.
Working
Making the illustration for the article about Yandex.Metrika on Tilda Education
Catching up on drawing a few last days in my sketchbook
Listening to birds chirping
The main entertainment of this day was watching how a tiny pack of something compressed was turning into a big bowl of Wood Ear Mushrooms
I cleaned up my laptop and deleted 55 GB of cache, useless programs, and files
Playing the Scrabble board game
Getting better at jumping rope
This day’s breakfast: smoothie and pancakes
The evening sun is shining through the window
Playing Corner Checkers. It was the game which my grandma and I used to play all the time

Moving out from the apartment where I have been living for almost 5 years
June, 2020
The month has started with prolonged rainfalls and tense news all over the world. I visited my apartment in the city after staying in the countryside for more than 2 months and in 3 days returned back to spend my long-awaited vacation surrounded by nature and clean air. Eventually, there were many more happenings in the second part of the month. I had a long-awaited haircut, met a few friends and new acquaintances. And unexpectedly at the end of the month, I was asked to move out from the apartment where I have been living for 5 years. It was quite stressful but I believe that it's for the best. It’s time for a new phase in many areas of my life.

July, 2020
The month has started with a sudden the disease that knocked me right at the beginning of the first weekend after I was swimming in the lake. Eventually, it was pretty great weeks with careful returning to normal. I was meeting with my friends, visiting doctors, taking long walks, and going to the office once in a while. Also, there was a long-awaited trip to Saint Petersburg where I had a really great time on my own, and later my friends joined me there. But it’s still strange to wear a mask every time I’m going down to the subway.
Our traditional breakfast with colleagues is officially returned
